Connecting banking data

Connect your company’s bank accounts to share bank account balances with your investors/partners. This provides deeper insights that are key to many due diligence processes like proof of cash analysis.

If you are unsure if your investor requires banking data, please reach out to them directly to inquire.

Before You Start

You'll need:

  • Online banking access to your company’s bank account
  • Login credentials for your bank

Note: We use Plaid, a secure banking connection service trusted by thousands of financial apps.

How to Connect Banking Data

  1. Log into Verified Metrics
  1. If you haven’t connected any accounting data yet, on the Dashboard page, click “Link your bank accounts”
  1. Or, you can navigate to Data Connection
      • Click the "Connect Data Source" button and select Bank Business Account
      • A secure Plaid connection window will open
  1. Search for Your Bank
      • Type your bank name
      • Select your bank from the list

  1. Enter Your Banking Credentials
      • Enter your online banking username and password
      • Complete any two-factor authentication required by your bank
  1. Select Accounts
      • Choose which bank accounts to connect
      • We recommend connecting all business accounts for complete visibility

  1. Authorize Access
  1. Confirm Connection - your banking data source will appear in the Data Sources page with a “Connected” status badge. This means that your accounts were successfully connected and their account names, balances, currency, and the last 4 digits of account numbers are share with your investors/partners.

Troubleshooting

Bank not listed

If you can't find your bank:

  • Search for "online banking" or your bank's parent company
