Uploading files
Upload financial documents and company files to share with your investor to provide additional context and information on top of data from your accounting software and bank.
How to Upload Files/Documents
There are two ways to upload files:
- Upload button: Click the Upload File button and select one or more files from your computer. You can select multiple files at once by holding Cmd (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) while clicking.
- Drag and drop: Drag files directly from your computer onto the file table. You can drag multiple files at once.
Uploaded files will appear in the root or folder that you uploaded to once the upload is complete.


Step-by-Step
- Log into Verified Metrics
- Navigate to the “Files” page
- Click the "Upload file" button
- Select the files you want to upload
- Confirm upload
Once complete, you'll see success messages and the uploaded files will be accessible to your investor.
Moving files to folders

After uploading, files can be moved into specific folders to keep your data room organized for investors.
To move a file:
- Find the file in the file table
- Select the “…” more options button to open the dropdown selector
- Click the ”Move to” option in the dropdown
- Select the destination folder
- Confirm the move
You can move files into any folder, including nested folders. For more on how folders work, see Managing folders
Troubleshooting
"File too large" error
- Maximum file size is 100 MB per file
- Compress large PDFs or split into multiple files
- For very large files, contact support@verifiedmetrics.com
Upload stuck or failed
- Check your internet connection
- Try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended)
