Sending files via email
You can send files/documents directly into a company's data room by forwarding them to a dedicated email address. This is useful when investment-related documents arrive over email and you want them captured against the right company without manual re-uploading.
A unique address per company
For each company you've added, your investor organization has a dedicated forwarding address. You can find it in your organization’s private folder on the company's Files page.
How it works
- Forward an email with attachments to a company's forwarding address.
- The attachments will appear in your investor organization's private folder inside that company's data room.
Privacy
Like manually uploaded files, files forwarded to your ingestion address are visible only to your investor organization and its users: users of the company sharing data with you cannot see nor access them
Who can forward documents
Only registered Verified Metrics users from your investor organization can forward documents to the ingestion address.
Emails from personal addresses, third-party tools, or automated senders will be dropped.
Limits
- Total attachment size per email is limited to around 30 MB. For larger files, upload them directly through the app — direct uploads support up to 100 MB.
- Forwarded attachments always land in your organization's private folder
